Its certainly been a while since I have posted in this space. But I am finally back and it will stay that way I hope. While it bums me out that I haven't written anything for a while it also means I was probably a little more busy with my studies which is always good :).
While on break, I came across this really wonderful blog http://1000awesomethings.com/
Just a wonderful idea that was liked so much that the author actually received a best blog award and I certainly agree. There are innumerable wonders in this world and lucky or unlucky we get the privilege to at least witness a few of them during our lifetime. But most of us never care about the little things that are awesome and that happen around us and to us every single day.
So what I have decided is that I will make a list of my own :). It has been fun already. Now if something remotely lucky or cool happens around me I immediately put it down in my list. This noting down of little pleasures somehow makes them stay with me a little longer than they normally would and that is precisely how i like it.
So here goes....

Reruns of your favorite movie/TV show
May it be the latest rerun of LOTR or you might catch that FRIENDS episode on TV for a while. Good stuff in entertainment comes and goes but classics are always there. Always there to make you laugh, make you cry and in general get you out of that funk you were in. So here is to classic entertainment...

Do I even need to elaborate on this one. I mean really, if you are by any unfortunate circumstance glancing at my blog, you still might be playing a song on youtube in another tab. I mean it has movies, songs, freaks and geeks, latest news and the list goes on...having a youtube page is just about as common as having a blog. Web search on the first try
This is mostly thanks to Wikipedia I guess. I mean how many times (specially in recent times) do we just have to google anything and everything. From the latest buzzword to the most obscure facts.When we don't get that exact page that would help us..how frustrating is that. But when you get the page you wanted right at the top...thats awesome.

When you wake up on time without the alarm clock
You set the time...you wind the clock....you set the clock in your phone...in your ipod..sometimes you put in all the precautions and it still doesn't help. But then sometimes.....you wake on your own..maybe its a bad dream...maybe its a unexpected noise....maybe its just your luck...but you turn your head to the clock and YOUR RIGHT ON TIME...to the minute...and that is awesome!!!

Conference call with friends/family all over the world
You can use any tool of your choice. Thats not important. Whats important is now you can call, hear, and even see as many of your friends/family together as possible. It really is the next best thing to them being with you..and it is awesome!!!Awesome thing #993
Reaching the bus/train stop right on time
We all use public transport at some point. Whether you live in a developed country where you track these things or you live in the third world where you know the time by experience....whether its cold where you stay or scorching hot....whether you are going away a few blocks or visiting another town...when we reach the bus stop just as it is arriving..that is awesome...
